SAA Basics of Electronic Records Management: All day workshop Thursday April 21st. (1 day, .75 CEUs, 5 ARCs)

Maximum Attendance: 30
Archivists have to start somewhere, and this workshop provides the basics. Attendees are introduced to the principles of appraising, accessioning, preserving, and providing access to records in digital formats.

Project Management for Archivists: Half day workshop from 8-Noon Thursday April 21st.

Maximum Attendance: 50
Archivists are involved in a variety of projects every day- from small projects, such as developing a new procedures manual, to larger projects, such as digitizing a collection. Because project management methodologies are not automatically included in formal education or many archival education programs, take advantage of this workshop to acquire the basic knowledge and tools necessary for managing successful projects. Instructor is Josh Turner, Principal, Turner & Associates (a private company of Business Management Consultants) in Helena.

Early Bird (through March 31): $50

Regular: $55

Financial Management for Archivists: Half day workshop from 1-5pm Thursday April 21st.

Most archivists receive little formal training in financial management. This workshop provides basic knowledge and skills needed for an archivist to become a better financial manager by introducing financial management concepts and problem-solving skills. Instructor is Russ Cargo from Third Sector Services, LLC. http://thirdsectorservices.com/about/russ/

Early Bird (through March 31): $50

Regular: $55

People can register for both half day workshops (includes a 10 dollar discount):
